Aim of the game: : To be the player with the most cards.
Game set-up: The cards are shuffled and placed in a pile, face down, in the centre of the table. Each player draws 2 cards that only they can see.
Playing the game: The youngest player goes first. They place one or two cards from their hand (player’s choice), face up, in the centre of the table. The cards must be in contact with each other, either horizontally or vertically. The player then draws from the pile to bring their hand back to 2 cards. The turn ends and it’s the next player’s turn.
Cards placed cannot exceed 4 x 4, identical cards cannot be placed in the same row or column, constraints must be respected - the turtle eats the anemone, the shark eats the turtle - they therefore cannot be placed next to each other.
Only the diver card can be placed next to all the other cards without danger.
Players can therefore create a row or column containing: A shark, an anemone, a diver, a turtle. Or: an anemone, a shark, a diver, a turtle. Or: a turtle, a diver, a shark, an anemone, etc. (from left to right or vice versa, or from top to bottom or vice versa).
If, during their turn, a player cannot place either of the two cards in their hand, they say: Bazarquatik! The previous player then takes all the cards placed on the table up to that point.
• The player who couldn’t place their cards keeps their hand and will now be able to place at least one card.
End of the game: The game ends when the draw pile is finished and all the cards have been played.
The player who has collected the largest number of cards wins the game.
